adoptions and services

cat_faceOur knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you choose just the right pet for you and your family and will provide information on proper care and training. When you’ve found your perfect forever friend and want to know how to adopt, we can help you through the process.  We also have several animals in foster care that are available for adoption.

If you think you may need to surrender a pet to the Humane Society of Charlotte, we can provide you with information about the process and other options for you to consider.

Adopting a pet through the Humane Society of Charlotte has created lots of success stories. Won’t it be wonderful when all homeless animals have homes!?

Every animal adopted is two saved: the one going home and the one coming in.
Thinking about getting a pet? Make the Humane Society of Charlotte your first stop. We always have a large selection of healthy available dogs and available cats as well as playful puppies and kittens. They all need loving homes with responsible owners like you.

All animals available for adoption have been screened by a veterinarian for health and temperament, are current on their vaccinations, and have been spayed/neutered. All of these services are included in the adoption fees for 2010*, and they are:

  • Puppies (6 Months and younger):  $150
  • Kittens (6 Months and Younger):  $120
  • Dogs (6 months and older):  $110
  • Cats (6 months and older):  $110

*Prices subject to change.

Adopt! It’s the humane thing to do.
