The Humane Society of Charlotte is pleased to offer the Pet Pals Patch for Girl Scouts.  There are a minimum number of lessons in kindness to animals the girls must complete in order to earn their patch. The program and all the lessons are age appropriate for grades K-3, 4-8, and 9-12. The scouts will learn things like how to be safe around animals, how to properly care for a pet, the importance of having proper identification on pets, and many other ways to be a pet advocate.

Leaders, this patch can be completed during your regular troop meetings or done in conjunction with a shelter visit, where we will complete some of the lessons. Education programs are 45 to 60 minutes long and can be scheduled by using this form. Once completed, purchase patches for your troop for $2 each.
 
Cub Scout leaders: this program can also be tailored to your tiger, wolf, bear, or webelo programs. Please know that at this time, we do not have a patch available for purchase for cub scout troops but we are happy to do the same program for your scouts.
